The First Step Is To Find The Right Gym For You

​Who doesn’t dread going to the gym? I can think of a hundred things I’d rather be doing. In order to get my lazy and large butt to the gym, I’ve found I have love where I sweat. Not only is it crucial to like to gym you will be frequenting, but it’s also important to make the commitment to attend.

Finding a good gym is your first key to success. What is important to YOU in a gym? Fancy new equipment? Good looking people? Manly meatheads?  Entertaining exercise classes?  Whatever you like in a gym, find one that meets all your criteria. If you enjoy where you work out, your much more likely to get up and go.

Look for a local gym. If you have to drive further than a few miles from your home or work, chances are you won’t go. Ask friends and co-workers: Where are the best gyms near me?  When you have gathered a couple suggestions, decide your priorities,  go and  take a tour. Gyms range drastically in price and luxury, so do your research well. If you are drawn to a gym where you get in and get out quickly, maybe an LA Fitness or 24 Hour Fitness would suit you well. However, if you want more of the fitness club experience, join a Spectrum or Equinox gym. These have more amenities and social gatherings, but with come with a higher price.

Research different gym memberships and special membership deals. You can find great sales at a variety of gym franchises. They change often, so don’t be afraid to pull the trigger when you find one!

Finding a gym where you enjoy going is crucial. Do your research, sign up, and getting going. Those pounds are going to lose themselves!
